Stone and hard earth, a horizon embellished with the mountains, a crystal clear starry sky on a moonless night, the river lulling you to sleep, the birds waking you up just before dawn enjoying peace in priceless doses. This is the setting offered by Lila Traditional House located in Kipoi, Zagori, the “behind the mountains”.
It is a small stone-built house located on the eastern edge of the village, in an excellent area.
The house has been built with care as a lot of personal work has been devoted to it. It is dressed and decorated with objects which have a story to tell. Opening the front door, you can see the living room with a fireplace, the kitchen and dining room in one open plan area.
Then you come across the bathroom and bedroom. The diversity of the house can prove its existence in the open loft which, due to its height and the obvious internal roof, can provide another sleeping area adding to a special atmosphere.
But the best is yet to come. The large two-level courtyard with a terraced garden comes to contribute to the magic. Nothing can obscure the breathtaking view, every season with its own beauty.
Broad green areas at your feet in spring and summer, enchanting colors in autumn and with a bit of luck a white scenery in winter.
You can drink your morning coffee in the company of swallows that gather on the wires as close as it can get, have a BBQ and cold beers on a nice spring Sunday or enjoy the mountain dew in a summer evening with a blanket on your feet.
And I confidently say all this because I have simply lived it!

Amazing house, its view is indescribable! Inside the house, the open loft steals the show, it looks like a dollhouse! The neighborhood is very quiet, ideal if someone wants to relax and rest.
As soon as we entered the courtyard with the amazing view and then the house, we understood that this is not a common accommodation that was built from the beginning for exploitation. It is a warm and special house that was made by people with passion to live their moments there. We had a great time and will go again!
